Yuna A tier is cute but let’s be real she is a beast and even worse on the expert grid. I gave her Lulus spells and she weirdly wound up with way more hp. Kimarhi is also way better in expert. High attack, speed spells and steal/use. Rest of the path is for aurons. Beeeast. But I respect your work. Great job

Just watching this now, I'd be interested if any of your thoughts changed with the Pixel Remaster. With Cyan for example, the wait time on his Sword Tech was drastically reduced, and he can use his insta-kill ability with minimal charge time and clear a lot of WoR trash mobs real quickly, so I'd imagine he'd jump up a few spots on the tier list.

I recently finished my first Fiesta run. I rolled Monk, Berserker, Ninja, and Dancer. That was.... rough. But honestly the most fun I've had with the game in a long time. Ninja's dual wielding on dancer with chicken knife and man eater was putting out crazy damage for me once i got the gear to get more consistent dances. Monk and berserker felt really bad in the late game. Monk was basically relegated to a back row healer throwing items to keep the dancer and ninja up to actually do damage to exdeath. My dancer was surprisingly the mvp of the run overall. With a bit of luck.

I think the white mages in ff9 are similar due to lore mainly. Your analysis of them is spot on though.

Quina is the 9 best battle character, and is also the 4th optional character who defines the game's difficulty. If she's not S rank then I don't know what S rank would be

gogo can do some funny strats with mimic tho, like mimicking summons to use them repeatedly. not enough to make him a great character but he can do some funny cheese strats for some fights

I come back to this lets play every few years and its fantastic, but boy do I wish you'd done it on an emulator that didn't have that weird squealy audio glitch lol. Even though I think the ones that had fixed that didn't have netplay at the time it was recorded so that would have been impossible lol

Mime has every advantage of Freelancer + native ability to mimic + more versatility with their command slots. It's literally Freelancer++.

Blue Mage doesn't belong in A-Tier. It belongs in a tier on its own, above S-Tier, due to "Death By Math" alone. But here are some other reasons as well. 1. Shields. Since it can use Shields, it can use the Aegis Shield with no issue. That speaks alot towards its survivability. 2. Armor/Helms. Medium Armor may not protect as well as Heavy Armor, but there are still a fair number of Medium Armors and Helms out there that knock it out the park, such as the Bone Mail up on Drakenvale, or the Gold Hairpin in Barrier Tower. 3. Weapons. The Enhancer Blade is fantastic on any magic user that can use it. And that's before mentioning it can break Rods. 4. The !Scan Command. Often overlooked, !Scan does double duty by not only revealing an enemy's weaknesses (among many other things), but also its current level, which is crucial to the class's inherent "Death By Math" strategy. ...And all of this comes standard, before considering what Blue Magic can do. Considering that it's fully possible to solo the whole game with just a Blue Mage, and nothing else, there's really no reason why this class doesn't belong in a tier of its own, IMO.

watching this while job leveling (probably for no reason) in ff3 steam 3d remake. i dont know anyone in FF other than 7, 8and 9 and now 3. curious what your ranks will be for 9. looking at the ff games today, and playing 3 for the first time, im kinda sad i started at 9. 9 seems like the end of real FF imo.

I agree and disagree with aome choice, like black mage should be A , he can cast huge elemental, affect everyone spell, but Paladin Cecil should be SS. This guy's is a tank and even at low level, he's rhe guy that's always standing, get 99 strenght and Stamina at middle level and he take it of those in danger. Shadow throw is very powerful, should be A and Gogo mimic everything should be at least A. On the other side, Locke only steal would go in C thier, he's not great in fighting. Edge is always on his ass and except of his throw skill, he's a liability, so I would put him D, Shadow can take some hit at least. Setzler slot attack is random, which is not great in a fight, would put him C for this reason.

24:18 I hope the real joke is you shitting on Mime and not willfully spreading misinformation because it's literally the best job in the game by a mile. It does everything Freelancer does (which is everything. Freelancer is the second best job, and again it's not even close) and more by having three command slots. If you work out your agility right, you can have one person click Rapid Fire, then everyone can copy that, or they can just drop Meteor because one of the four of you mastered Black Mage. It breaks the game over it's knee with a sickening crack.

I can barely remember all the times the interloper killed me. I remember going there so many times with no idea how to get in. I was so focused on the shuttle being the key that never considered the sun would melt some ice. Until I just happened to there when it happened. Then the inside killed me a whole bunch. Good times.

The Sunny D joke had me in stitches. The Interloper was the final thing I explored before doing the end game and I had just been absolutely dying to know more about the ghost matter, but as it turned out, the only writings about the ghost matter are in Pye's log inside the Interloper because, presumably, judging by how far Poke's corpse is from Pye's corpse, the comet ruptured seconds after she recorded that message, which in itself was done mere moments after discovering it. It was really fascinating the way the information hit me and everything about everything just clicked.

Regarding the dancer, 1/4 dances are useful, and that one deals quadruple damage- which means you're about as well off by simply autoattacking and if you do that you may as well be any other martial job.

In ff8 if you have enough ammo and are very fast irvine can do more damage than squall also quistis with degenorator is the most broken limit break in the game or at least against enemies especially whenever you run into ruby dragons also in my opinion slots in any of the games is so frustrating because you constantly have to pause if you want to get the right one

I have a few favorites to share as well as a possible knit-pick: 1. My favorite class is Blue Mage because I can learn an enemies' attack and turn it against them 2. My favorite combination is giving the Spellblade ability to a Ninja as a guarantee of making it out of a battle provided that the enemies aren't undead 3. Bards and Dancers go hand-in-hand so the main ability of one being given to the other can be helpful in the right way 4. My only knit-pick is that the Red Mage doesn't have access to the lvl4 or higher spells for what they can do No doubt you considered everything possible, so just take my thoughts wi5h a grain of salt

I was not expecting such a bold declaration as "FF8 is the best ps1 FF game" and I want to argue it for the sake of arguing it. Except it's not wrong. I _care_ more about FF9, and I _miss_ the materia from FF7, but FF8 looks better than 7 and doesn't have the cruft of 9. I don't know what paper straws you've had to suffer, but the ones I've encountered have been pretty much compressed cardboard. Won't get ruined after an hour in your drink. Probably aren't any less damaging ot the environment though :P I can get behind us snow-acclimated people being in the wrong. After all, there are a ton of people who don't see anything wrong with living in places that get _tornadoes_ on a _regular basis._
